This is my second book in the Snooferpoot series.  Click here to see it on Amazon.  In this one, Sully is a little nervous about going to school.  So, his mom does what any good mom would do.  She buys him a force field!  Let me know what you think.  I would love to hear from you!  My personal email address is aaronshawphd@gmail.com.  Thanks everyone!

Adding touches of color to my next book

So far, I have been a total black and white snob. However, at the moment I am considering using highlights of color in the next book, just to change things up a bit. It's funny, while I am coloring, I love the highlights, but then when I see them in the book itself, I begin to question whether I am really sold on the idea. It is a tough decision.

This pic of Snooferpoot do not make the cut for book 2

This pic was cut because everyone that has read book 2 says he should be sad in this picture. As you can tell he looks like he is ready to rumble:)

New art from the next Snooferpoot picture book

This was a fun piece to do. I really dreaded it because I did not think I had enough art skills to do it. But I got to say, once I started working on the people in shadow I started to really enjoy the process. Hope you like it too!

Playing with color on Sully P. Snooferpoot again.

This is my version of messing with color. This illo has already been axed from the second book, so I thought I would use it to experiment with color a little. I did the one on the left first, then the one on the right and lastly the one in the middle. I love the black and white look in general in my books. For whatever reason, I concentrate better on the art in books that are black and white. Maybe that is because so few are. However, after doing this today, I kind of like the idea of using color to accent a few minor spots on each black and white piece. Hmmm.

One of My Fam's Favorite Illustrations from The Book.

This was one of my wife and kids' favorite designs from the picture book. What do you think. This is when Sully daydreams about being an elementary school star.
